Stormwater Detention Tank

Civic Place will include a 5000m3 detention tank that has been designed to capture, clean and reuse water from a 19 ha catchment in the north west area of the Chatswood CBD. Currently under construction, this facility is a remarkable piece of engineering in itself!

The treated water will be used extensively throughout Civic Place including in the cooling towers, bathroom facilities as well as subsoil irrigation in the landscaped garden area. Excess water will be sent to neighbouring sites for use in their facilities.
