July 2007 Library temporarily relocated to Level 1 Mandarin Centre, corner Victor Street and Albert Avenue, Chatswood. Full services and facilities continue to be offered.
September 2007 Architectural Design complete.
October - November 2007 Call for tenders for construction.
Call for tenders for demolition.
The WurliTzer Organ was decommissioned ready for restoration and preservation. Once restoration is complete it will be specially housed in the conert hall of the new Civic Place.
The Bicentennial Banners have been assessed by conservation experts and will be placed in custom built storage while the Civic Place project is completed. They will be housed in the new Civic Hall.
January - July 2008 Buildings demolished.
August 2008 - February 2009  Excavation works.
2011 Library and Civic Place completed.
