Overview
In the tradition of the great gathering and market places of the world, Civic Place will offer North Shore communities performance and visual arts spaces, educational facilities, celebration and meeting spaces, all set in terraced gardens within a 1.2 hectare city block fronting Victoria Avenue.
Civic Place is a vision inspired and endorsed by the Willoughby City community, and facilitated by Willoughby City Council. The design, technical, and finance teams comprise internationally recognised consultants with a long-term commitment to the project.
After four years of research, site consolidation and masterplanning, all project preparation has been completed. The architectural design program is now well underway and, subject to achieving all funding required, the $162.5 million project will be completed in 2011.
Your partnership with the community through your philanthropic investment in Civic Place will ensure North Shore communities – today and in the future – will have exceptional public places and spaces in which to live, learn and celebrate.
