The Concert Hall has been designed as a principal component of Civic Place. It will seat 1000 people on two levels and have an open concert platform. The stalls will seat 500, the balcony 400, and the choir stalls 100 people.

Front of House

Lifts will provide direct access from the car park and foyer to the stalls and balcony levels. Patrons will have the added convenience of a VIP room accessible from the foyer, a bar, lounge, servery and atrium. They may enjoy the view from the foyer looking down onto the landscaped gardens of Civic Place at night or the bustle of Chatswood during the day. The state-of-the-art facility incorporates superb acoustics and the most technologically advanced facilities available.

Back of House

The Concert Hall will have a chorus room and orchestra preparation room which can also be used for conferences. Performers will enjoy high quality yet functional back of house facilities including:

a conductor’s room
a green room
chorus rooms
dressing rooms
instrument storage
male and female amenities
orchestra preparation rooms
principals’ rooms
administrative offices

The Concert Hall will have the ability to stage world class performances in a world class venue for a growing city; while also providing the intimate atmosphere and versatility required by our established, close-knit communities for their own private and corporate functions.
